POLICE after investigating after a blaze started which damaged four cars and a garage.
Fire crews were called at 9pm last night when one of four cars parked at a garage in Wickham caught fire.
Firefighters from Fareham and from Wickham were sent to the scene in Southwick Road where they spent an hour putting the fire out.
Watch manager Jim Stone said: “One of the cars was severely damaged by the fire and the three others were also damaged.”
He added he didn’t know the make or model of the cars.
Because of the location of the building crews found it difficult to put out the fire which cause smoke and heat damage to the rear of the building.
They eventually put it out using breathing apparatus, jets and a hose reel.
Mr Stone added: “The cause of the fire is doubtful. The police are investigating to see what the cause is.”
