THERE is early notice for the Micheldever summer fete.
The date is Saturday July 18, from 1pm, at the Lord Rank Playing Field.
Winchester and Chandler’s Ford MP Steve Brine will open the event and get involved with various games.
New for this year is the auction house stall, where people can bid for lots of their choice.
There will also be a grand draw on the day, a tea tent, bar and barbecue, and various stalls for adults and children alike.
Man’s best friend will battle it out to be named ‘top dog’ at the dog show, complete with rosettes for the winners.
And there will be a first for the village, as festival-goers are invited to don ‘sumo suits’ for a sumo wrestling tournament – one not to be missed.
A car park will be available on a nearby field.
