RESIDENTS are being asked to comment on housing need in Twyford.

Villagers were sent a questionnaire following work by Action Hampshire and Twyford Parish Council.

The questionnaire aims to establish how many people can’t afford homes in the village, identify housing needs for the elderly or families and how the village can adapt over the next 15 years.

Chair of the Neighbourhood Plan group, Chris Corcoran, said: “There is a well publicised shortage of houses nationally which successive governments have pledged to address. Twyford is in the South Downs National Park which means that it will not have any large increase in housing numbers. However the National Park Authority has still to make provision for some increase. Twyford is being encouraged to identify its own needs and to meet them, at least in part.”
