Compton and Shawford host successful choral workshop ahead of Cathedral performance
IT was certainly a Beautiful Mornin’ the day the Compton and Shawford Festival Choir hosted a choral workshop.
South Winchester villagers gathered for renditions from the popular musical Oklahoma seeing audience and choir members alike turning out in costume.
The group was led by John Sutton who is preparing the choir for their performance of Brahm’s Requiem in Winchester Cathedral on May 16.
The choir is also accepting new members, particularly tenor and bass vocalists.
