PUPPY-lovers can see in the spring with a countryside walk to raise money for helper dogs.

The Big Bluebell Dog Walk in Swanmore will fundraise for assistance dog charity Canine Partners.

The group trains puppies to help people with disabilities. Animals can learn tasks such as opening and closing doors, undressing, pressing buttons, unloading washing machines, taking card and cash from ATMs and other jobs that disabled people can find difficult, painful or impossible.

The flower-filled walk takes place in Holywell Estate, Swanmore from 10.30am on April 18.

Andy Cook, the charity's chief executive, said: “The Big Bluebell Walk is a family fun event and we would like as many people as possible to join us on our spring scenic walk - and you are more than welcome to bring your dog along on a lead too.”

The fundraising event is part of the charity's national Big Bluebell Dog Walk Campaign, which has raised more than £150,000 in the past 11 years.
