A HAMPSHIRE communications firm has signed a covenant pledging practical support for military veterans.
Arqiva, based in Crawley, near Winchester, has committed help for ex-services personnel returning to the civilian workforce.
The firm will offer taster days and staff shadowing, full-time work opportunities and training for the HR team to appreciate skills learnt in the forces.
David Crawford, managing director of satellite and media, said: “Arqiva recognises the unique blend of passion, skill and dedication the armed forces community can bring to a business and has a strong tradition of hiring ex-service personnel as a result.
“Signing the [Ministry of Defence] Armed Forces Corporate Covenant was a natural next step for us and builds on a commitment we have already been putting into practice for a number of years.”
