A GROUP that has an alternative vision for the future of Alresford has sent its ideas to city planners.
The professional group, which formed last year following a string of hostile public meetings, has been developing its own plan for where nearly 400 homes could go.
The town council meeting heard that the group originally said it would discuss its plan with councillors before submitting it as part of Local Plan Part Two.
But the group backtracked and sent it to the city council three weeks before town councillors could view it.
Cllr Roy Gentry said: “It’s gone to the city council without the town council being able to comment on it. In my view it’s gone so we cannot do anything else. We cannot put any value into it now.”
Chairman Cllr Lisa Griffiths suggested an informal meeting with the professional group, which councillors agreed to.
