A MICHELDEVER holiday park has been presented with a top regional tourism award by domestic holiday giant Hoseasons.

Blackwood Forest Lodges was crowned Best Lodge Escape destination in the south of England at Hoseasons’ ninth annual Gala Awards evening.

The awards, which were held at the Celtic Manor resort in Newport, aim to showcase the best of the firm’s lodges and holiday parks across the UK.

Jill Grinsted, sales and marketing director, at Forest Holidays said: “We’re delighted to win this award. Every member of the Blackwood Forest Lodges and Forest Holidays team is dedicated to making sure our customers have a great holiday experience, so it’s nice to know their hard work is appreciated. We love what we do and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more guests for a great British break over the next few weeks and into 2015.”

The award comes in the same year that Hoseasons celebrates its 70th anniversary.

Simon Altham, managing director for Hoseasons, said: “Winning this award means Blackwood Forest Lodges is among the most popular and successful holiday locations in our entire UK portfolio.

“This park is exactly what we have in mind when we say we want to offer our customers a better place to stay and we wish them all the best for another successful year in 2015.”

Blackwood Forest Lodges’ award was presented by Gail Mandel, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Wyndham Exchange and Rental – the parent company of Hoseasons.
