Plans submitted for 800 solar panels near Durley
HUNDREDS of solar panels could be built on farmland near Durley under plans submitted to civic chiefs.
The applicant, who asked not to be named, wants to build 800 panels in Rozel Forge, Stapleford Lane and sell the power to the national grid.
She plans to use a small amount of power from the ground-mounted panels to run her premises.
The plans include upgrades to transformers in the area.
Winchester City Council is inviting comments until November 21 ahead of a tentative decision date of January 15.
