POLICE are appealing for information after a theft on Hallowe'en which could have ‘cost someone’s life’.

Two lights were stolen from a community responder in Bishop’s Waltham as they attended a property.

A magnetic torch and warning triangle, which are used to signpost paramedics to a location and avoid delays, where taken.

Police say paramedics found it difficult to locate the property.

PCSO Sarah McCulloch said: “Fortunately in this particular case the delay for paramedics was not critical, however mindless and thoughtless acts such as this could cost a patients’ life.

“I am appealing to the person who took these two lights to return them to Bishop’s Waltham police station. I would also urge anyone who was in the area between 6.20pm and 7.15pm on Hallowe'en, who has any information, to get in touch with us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PCSO McCulloch at Bishop’s Waltham police station by calling 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
