TWO Hampshire villages are joining forces to create musical and poetic tributes to war heroes.
Longparish and Whitchurch will host two concerts to remember the fallen and raise funds for today’s victims via the charities War Child and Alabaré.
Musicians, researchers, and performers of the Longparish Village and All Hallows Church choirs will perform on Friday, November 14, and Saturday, November 15, at All Hallows Church in Whitchurch.
The concerts blend music and poetry, including works by Fauré, Wilfred Owen and Rudyard Kipling.
Residents have also been researching the names found on war memorials, and their stories will be told during the commemorations.
Tickets are available at Newbury Building Society, in Whitchurch, and the Longparish village shop. Both concerts start at 7.30pm.
