HARVEST proved fruitful in Kings Worthy after almost £1,000 was raised for projects in South Sudan.
People of all ages came together for the Harvest Supper and Barn Dance in Jubilee Hall, with a performance from Four Marks Folk Band.
It was organised by St Mary’s and St Barnabus churches, and raised over £500 for the appeal which helps people from the war-torn region.
Harvest Festival at St Mary’s and St Swithun’s churches raised a further £470, and donations of food and provisions were taken to Winchester Nightshelter and Basics Bank.
