HURSLEY Cricket Club has secured a grant of £6,500 from a community fund which helps boost environmental projects.
Works for the club’s kitchen refurbishment project, which was awarded under Biffa Award’s recreation theme, began some weeks ago and included removing a wall, as well as new plumbing and electrics.
The club has been based at Hursley Park for more than 70 years and was given an additional financial boost by Hursley Parish Council.
The new kitchen has been dedicated to David Savage, a former cub stalwart, who died before the project was finished.
