RESIDENTS in Colden Common are being asked to help reduce the number of HGVs in the village.

The Parish Council has asked residents to help chronicle incidents of excessive speed and high volumes of HGVs after villagers raised concerns.

Parish Council clerk, Debbie Harding, said: “We have been asked by our Councillor to produce a list of actions which may help reduce HGV traffic and then prioritise those actions.

“We are therefore asking residents to put forward any practical ideas that they have to be considered by the Parish Council for this list, for example more signage on the motorway as was the case during the road closure for the water main repair. “The Parish Council will then forward this to list to Cllr Rob Humby who will liaise with HCC highways.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Ms Harding via the Parish Council website coldencommon.hants.gov.uk or by phone, 01962 713700 (Mon, Wed, Fri 9am to noon).
