THE Meon Valley University of the Third Age has announced its autumn programme of talks for retired and semi-retired people looking to embark on a new path of discovery.

Former civil servant Dennis Boylan will discuss the Terracotta Army at Wickham Community Centre, Mill Lane on Tuesday, September 16.

On October 7 local historian Geoff Watts will take visitors through the life, career and local links of 18th century actress Sarah Siddons, still regarded as one of the finest Lady Macbeths in history.

Railway enthusiastic Alan Inder will give the final talk of the season on Narrow Gauge railways in Wales on October 21.

All talks are in Wickham Community Centre, Mill Lane at 2pm.

Entry costs £1 for U3A members or £2 for guests.
