VOLUNTEERS are required to help revamp a much-used bridle path in Sparsholt.
The one kilometre bridleway, which runs through Ham Green, is due to be resurfaced on September 20.
Forty tonnes of scalping, or rough stones, will be delivered to the site and volunteers are needed to help fix them in place.
Terry Dunn, of the Ham Green volunteers which is helping coordinate the project, said: βIt is a fair job but it is long overdue because we have wanted to do it for years. The bridleway gets muddy in winter. It will be a good job to get done.β
It is a joint project between Winchester City Council, Sparsholt Parish Council and the volunteer group, who are also looking to borrow a mini digger for the day.
