CHILDREN in Colden Common are gearing up to raise even more money for the victims of typhoon Haiyan this weekend.
The 9th Winchester Scouts, which includes beavers, cubs, scouts and explorers, will be washing cars at Colden Common Primary School between 10am and 3pm in a bid to raise over £500 for a ShelterBox.
The group of children had already donated one before shortly after the disaster was first reported in November.
The scouts will be washing cars, for a suggested donation of £5, to raise money for the box which contains a variety of much needed food, blankets and first aid treatments.
For more information contact the scout group leader, Steve Cox, on 01962 711744.
