EASTLEIGH pair Mark Arnold and Kirsty Mellish are taking part in the London Firewalk Challenge on June 6 to raise money for The Foundation for The Study of Infant Death (FSID) Charity.
After a motivational training session, they will walk across 20 feet of wood embers burning at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit hopefully without experiencing any pain or injury.
FSID is the UK's leading baby charity working to prevent sudden infant deaths, also known as cot death, and promote infant health - funding research, supporting bereaved families, providing information to the public and working with professionals to improve investigations when a baby dies.

Each year in the UK, more than 500 babies die suddenly and unexpectedly.
The charity's work has led to a 75per cent fall in the incidence of SIDS in the UK since 1991.
Kirsty, of Monks Way, received an email from FSID telling her about the Firewalk and, having a healthy son of her own, felt she couldn't say no.
