A STAMPEDE with a difference will take place at a Hampshire zoo in May.

Runners are needed to take part in the annual 10k run and junior fun run at Marwell Wildlife near Winchester.

Popular with long distance runners and fun-runners alike, the undulating course takes in Hampshire's beautiful countryside and passes some of the world's rarest animals in the 140-acre park.

Children aged 5-11 can take part in the fun run on their own or with a parent for support.

The race fee includes entry to the park and closing date for entries is April 1 (or when race limit is reached), with no entries on the day.

The 10k race starts at 10.30am and the fun run at 10am on May 23. Money raised will go to the wildlife conservation charity.
