A WINCHESTER man died after a fall at the care home he lived at, an inquest heard.

Jack Chapman, 91, sustained brain injuries after hitting his head last October in a fall in a corridor of Cornerways Care Home in Church Lane, Kings Worthy.

Mr Chapman suffered from dementia and had two other falls in the weeks before his death.

He was taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital but died from his injuries on October 5.

Staff at the care home said his health was deteriorating and he needed a frame to help him walk.

On Wednesday, March 28, Deputy Coroner for Central Hampshire Simon Burge recorded a verdict of accidental death.
