A PEDESTRIAN narrowly avoided injury after a crash on the outskirts of Winchester last night.
A delivery van was in collision with a BMW on Bar End Road at the mini-roundabout at the junction with Barfield Close at around 6.25pm.
The police closed Bar End Road to allow for the vehicles to be cleared away. The van was carrying a large number of laptop computers.
Watch manager Chris Roper, of Winchester Fire Station, said today: “The van was in collision with the car which hit the kerb which spun it onto its side. It nearly went into the house and narrowly missed a pedestrian.”
An ambulance was called but no-one is thought to have needed hospital treatment.
