POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a burglary in Bramdean.

Intruders forced entry into a home off the A272 road in the village sometime between 12.45pm and 2pm on December 13.

The offenders first attempted to remove a glass panel in the door to try and reach in and unlock it but after this failed they forced open the door, possibly using a heavy implement.

Although the burglars searched a bedroom, police believe nothing was taken.

Investigating officer PC Craig Robinson said: “This house is just off the busy A272 so I’m sure there would have been people passing the area around the time of the break in.

“Did you see any suspicious people or vehicles? If so please contact me with any information which might assist this investigation.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Robinson at Winchester Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
