A DRIVER was left trapped inside his vehicle after a two-vehicle collision on a road outside of Winchester earlier this evening (Wed).
The 23-year-old driver of a Citreon van was taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital with serious leg injuries after his vehicle collided with a Ford Mondeo at the Harestock Road junction of Andover Road.
Police, ambulance and fire services were all called to the scene at around 4.30pm and quickly helped the driver escape the van.
A passenger in the van and the three occupants of the Mondeo, including the 22-year-old driver, were all taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.
Both Harestock Road and Andover Road northbound were closed for about 40 minutes, and were reopened at around 5pm.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101.
