A CHURCH in Winchester held a ‘noughtie’ anniversary last Sunday (October 10).
It was organised to mark birthdays and anniversaries of parishioners that took place this year ending in zero.
St Luke’s Church in Stanmore timed the event to take place on the 10th day of the 10th month of the 10th year.
The Rev Mike Gardiner and Canon Patrick Elkins led the congregation in a celebration service.
All of those with birthdays or anniversaries that qualified were then invited to light a candle to mark the milestone.
The service was followed by drinks and refreshments in the church hall.
