A talk on a major Himalayan peak is being held at a city museum next week.
Lt Col Tony Streather OBE will talk about his 1955 ascent of Kanchenjunga, which was the first climb of the world’s third-highest mountain.
It will be held at the Gurkha Museum in Peninsula Barracks, off Romsey Road, at 11am on Friday, April 16, to raise funds for the attraction.
Tickets are £30 and include a curry lunch – call 01962 842832 or email curator@thegurkhamuseum.co.uk
