A PAIR of Winchester bankers will put on both their dancing and running shoes to raise £10,000 for charity.

NatWest staff Nicki Secker and Caroline Wilton organised a ‘Pretty in Pink Ball’ at the Botleigh Grange Hotel in Southampton last month in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

But the pair are also preparing to run the London Marathon on April 25 to boost the fundraising even further.

Nicky said: “Caroline and I both have relatives, close friends and colleagues who have been affected by breast cancer and we wanted to do something to support the great work Breakthrough does, whilst also having some fun with our colleagues and customers. Arranging this Charity Ball seemed like an ideal opportunity to do just that, although I’m not quite sure where the idea to run the marathons came from! We have already had fantastic support from our customers, colleagues, friends and families and their generous donations will not only mean the Ball is a huge success, but will also be the spur Caroline and I need to keep running.”
