RESIDENTS of another Winchester estate could soon have to pay to park outside their homes.

The city council is consulting on proposals to introduce parking restrictions in Winnall to tackle commuter parking.

This scheme has been brought forward to address problems associated with people parking in residential roads which creates issues for local residents.

Similar schemes already operate in Highcliffe, Hyde, Fulflood, Abbotts Barton, Weeke and parts of Stanmore.

The consultation runs until January 5, 2018 and gives residents, commuters and any other interested parties, including businesses, the chance to comment.

The council says representations received will be carefully considered before any formal decision is reached.
