WINCHESTER greenfield campaigners are relaunching their struggle to stop 2,000 homes being built on the edge of the city.
The Save Barton Farm Group is gearing up to fight the plans for the development on farmland off Andover Road.
The city council is set to agree a new policy that will earmark the land as the site for the biggest building scheme in the city since the early 1980s.
A public meeting will be held on Wednesday February 25 at Peter Symonds College, Bereweeke Road at 7.30pm.
A protest march through the city centre has been arranged for Saturday March 14 starting at The Westgate and finishing at a rally outside the Guildhall.
