AN EXHIBITION of artwork by local people will be on show at The Colour Factory in Winchester.

The art co-operative is opening its doors for a special exhibition of artworks produced by its students.

There will be a huge range of art to see in many different mediums, made by local people who have had their love of painting re-ignited by The Colour Factory artist-teachers.

Rosie Parmley from The Colour Factory, on Gordon Road, Hyde, said: “As a working artist based in Winchester myself it is so rewarding to engage with the community and share our knowledge and skill.

“It’s amazing to see people grow in confidence, with little experience of art and then go on to produce accomplished paintings – you absolutely can be taught how to create art given the right support.”

The exhibition which runs from tomorrow until Sunday and is open from 10am-4pm.

Celebrate the talent in the community, meet the artists and learn about the courses running this autumn.
