A SCHOOL secretary said goodbye to Winchester children for the last time as she retired from her post of 25 years.
Angela Carter celebrated her final day at Winnall Primary School at the end of the winter term with a tea party, organised by staff and governors.
Past and present colleagues wished her well with a presentation and a cake.
Head teacher John James and governor Chris Pines, who also taught Ms Carter, both paid tribute to her work.
Ms Carter said she now has plans to spend more time with her husband, Ray, travel in their touring caravan, and see more of their grandchildren.
