Three Hampshire schools have made it into Tatler’s latest guide to the best state schools.
The glossy magazine for high society’s well-heeled has compiled its annual guide to the best state schools in the UK, featuring 12 primary and 22 secondary schools which it deems “acceptable”.
Kings’ School, in Winchester, and Botley CE Primary School both get a mention, as does St Peter’s Catholic Primary School, although it is unclear if this is the Winchester or Waterlooville school.
The guide claims the “smuggest mummies” aren’t those at the gates of the country’s top prep schools, but those who have “snagged a place” at the best the state has to offer.
The schools are closed for the Christmas holidays and were unavailable for comment.
