A MOTOR show at a college near Winchester revved up more than £1,000 for a cancer charity.
Sparsholt College’s Celebration of Motor Vehicles, displaying super cars, bikes, vintage vehicles, rally cars and luxury motors, raised £1,450 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Richard Martin, Macmillan’s interim fundraising manager, collected the cheque from motor vehicle staff at their new workshop.
Organiser and lecturer Dave Andrews said: “A friend and supporter of the department is recovering from cancer so we were keen to organise an event which celebrated motor vehicles whilst also giving something back.
“This was the ideal opportunity for people to show off their cars and for others to enjoy the wonderful, varied world that is all things motorised.”
