SPARSHOLT College has added further expertise to its Board of Governors.
Former Peter Symonds College Principal Neil Hopkins, who joined last year, has subsequently been appointed as Quality and Standards Committee chairman.
Joining Neil will be Judy Venables, Assistant Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and Dr Roger Palmer, recently retired as Dean of Bournemouth University Business School.
Mr Hopkins said: “In my relatively short time on the board of Sparsholt and Andover, I have been impressed by the College’s commitment to high standards, and its drive for improvement. I’m pleased to be able to be part of that drive.”
He will have strategic oversight of quality of teaching, learning and learner support for all of the college's students, including off-site learning.
Earlier this year Ofsted acknowledged governance at Sparshol as ‘outstanding.’ It commended it overall as ‘good’ with all areas inspected given a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ rating.
