PEOPLE from across Hampshire came together yesterday (Oct 21) to celebrate the end of the Hindu autumn festival of Durga Puja.

Hiltingbury Community Centre in Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh, resounded to live music dancing, drama as well as the flavours of Bengal.

The festivities were organised by the Hampshire Puja and Cultural Association, which aims to promote diversity and community cohesion.

The three-day event attracted people from all religions and cultures across the county. It celebrates self-awareness and self-control against the evils of life.
