DOGS will be going head to head for the title of the waggiest tail and funniest ears today (Monday, August 29).
Southampton Blue Cross’ Fun Day and Dog Show at Hatch Grange, on Chapel Road, West End, will see a range of rosettes on offer for the top dogs while raising money for unwanted animals.
The event, starting at 11am, includes a bouncy castle, bric-a-brac stall and 16 dog classes in the show.
The canine contestants will compete in categories like golden oldies, best young dog, best bull breed, best crossbreed, most handsome dog, prettiest pooch, waggiest tail, funniest ears, top terrier, best rescue and best young handler, with rosettes up to sixth place.
Entry costs just £2 per class with all the proceeds going to help sick and unwanted animals at The Blue Cross, including those at the Southampton adoption centre, on Bubb Lane, West End.
