Carnival coming to Bishopstoke

A CARNIVAL in Bishopstoke, near Eastleigh, is set to return again this year.

The Bishopstoke Carnival will be taking place on Sunday, September 11 with the hope of raising money to help groups in the area.

Organised by the Carnival Group which meets every month, it will include a carnival parade at 1pm and a summer fete from 2 until 5pm.

The fun day is for all the family, and the group is also organising a series of quizzes in Bishopstoke from August to October.

The next one is at the Forester’s Inn, Stoke Common Road, on Wednesday, August 10 and begins at 8:30pm.

Future venues include the Anglers Inn, Riverside and the Working Men’s Club, Spring Lane. Each night will feature a raffle and a prize for the winning team.
