FORTIS, the insurance giants based at Chandler’s Ford, are looking for 100 new recruits.

They’re expanding their workforce after landing a deal to handle the motor and household insurance business of Tesco Bank, which amounts to more than £500m a year in premiums.

Fortis are the second-larged car insurers in the UK and, with around seven million customers, offer home, travel and commercial insurance cover, too.

“We’re investing in our longterm future and looking for people whose personal qualities will contribute to our growth.

This is a very positive development that will be a boost for the local economy,” said Fortis HR director, Lyn Nicholls.
