3:30pm Wednesday 3rd February 2010

AN Eastleigh man has been remanded in custody, along with his alleged accomplice, charged in connection with a robbery at a New Forest post office.

William Robinson, 47, of Rookery Farm, and Sam McLachlan, 26, of Millbrook Road East, Southampton, deny conspiring to rob Bartley Post Office and Village Store in November.

However, McLachlan admitted assault with intent to rob and possessing a bladed article on the same occasion.

Southampton Crown Court set the date for the trial as April 28.
