POLICE sealed off a section of Hampshire woodland after the discovery of a body.
A member of the public thought to have been out walking made the gruesome find and called police around 11.30am on Sunday.
Officers went to the scene where the body of a man in his 30s was found, close to Woodside Avenue in Eastleigh.
Three police cars were at the scene while part of the pathway, which is popular with dog walkers, was sealed off.
A spokesman for Hampshire police said officers were carrying out enquiries and are not treating the death as suspicious, but a report is being compiled for the coroner.
An inquest is expected to be opened and adjourned this week.
