A WINCHESTER museum will play host to the annual Gurkha and Nepalese community outing.
This year the celebrations mark the 200th anniversary of Gurkha service to the British Crown.
The outing includes a trip to the Winchester Gurkha Museum, at Peninsula Barracks, followed by a visit to Hilliers Garden Centre in Romsey, which is renowned for the cultivation and preservation of their national flower, the rhododendron.
It is being organised by charity Nepalese Help and the Eastleigh Gurkha Nepalese Association.
Chelsea Pensioners and the Nepalese Traditional Village Band will be at the event on May 23.
Attendees are encouraged to wear their finest national costume.
