AN ANNUAL Winchester concert promises to be the talk of year when college students gather together next week.

On Tuesday (November 26) over 150 students from Peter Symonds College will perform at Thornden School in Chandler’s Ford.

The evening’s entertainment will include performances from the college choir and Symonds orchestra as well as individual performances form soloist Sikun Chen who will play works by Holst, Massenet and Bach.

The second half of the show features a variety of jazz numbers and a rendition of Cantique de Jean Racine by Fauré as sung by the college choir.

Tickets cost £8 for the event (£5 for concessions), which starts at 7.30pm, are available on the door or in advance.
