POLICE have released CCTV images of a couple after £1,200 was stolen following a burglary at a doctor's surgery in Winchester.
The man and woman stole a purse from an unlocked drawer in a consulting room at St Clements Surgery in Tanner Street.
After the theft the 45-year-old female victim received a call from a person identifying themselves as Craig Thompson from Lloyds TSB's fraud desk.
The victim was asked various security questions including her PIN number. The victim then disclosed the first two numbersof her pin.
The suspects then proceeded to withdraw £300 from the Alliance and Leicester ATM on the High Street.
They then went to Lloyds TSB, also on the High Street, and withdrew £900 from the cashier's desk.
They have attempted to withdraw £2000 from another account, however the card has been flagged as stolen. The cashier sought assistance from the supervisor, at which point the offenders have left the bank.
The incident happened on March 23 between 1pm and 2pm.
The suspects are described as a white man, in his 30s, smartly dressed in shirt and tie, suit trousers and with light brown cropped hair. The woman is described as white, in her 30s, wearing smart black business attire with dark brown hair tied back in a bun and wearing glasses.
PC Dominic Doyle said: "Police are appealing for anyone who may recognise these two suspects, caught on camera at Lloyds TSB. If you recognise them, please get in touch.
"I would like to reinforce the message that banks will never ask for your PIN number under any circumstances. This information should never be disclosed."
