POLICE are investigating a suspected arson in Winchester.
Two fire engines were called to Firmstone Road after reports of a small fire in a doorway.
A 59-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson, but has since been released.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue say the fire engines were from Winchester Fire Station and that the fire was out on arrival.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "Police called at 7.44pm on Sunday, 6 August to reports of a small fire in a doorway on Firmstone Road, Winchester.
"A 59-year-old man from Winchester has been arrested on suspicion of arson.
"He has been released without charge but remains under investigation."
