A WINCHESTER pensioner has been banned for drink driving.
John Geoffrey Brown, 67, was stopped by police in Court Road, Kings Worthy, on May 10, magistrates in Basingstoke were told.
His alcohol reading was 124 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 meaning he was nearly four times the legal limit.
He was ordered to take part in a drink-impaired drivers' programme, fined £50 with an £85 victim surcharge.
Brown, of Edwards Close, Kings Worthy, was also disqualified from driving for three years.
The ban will be cut by 274 days if he passes an approved driving course.
