POLICE have renewed their appeal into the murder of a Hampshire man.

As reported, Carl Scott was found dead at a home in the Stanmore area of Winchester last week.

Yesterday a 58-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder was released on police bail pending further enquiries.

As part of the appeal for more information, the family of Mr Scott,37, have released a photo of him as part of the police's appeal.

Mr Scott was found dead at a house in Birch Court off Thurmond Crescent on March 22.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Morgan said: “We have been working our way back from March 22 in a methodical process to establish Mr Scott’s movements prior to his death. We are looking into who he was associating with and where he had been in the days and weeks leading up to this tragic event.

“I am continuing to appeal to anyone who knew Mr Scott and saw him or had contact with him since February 1 this year. You may not think you have any significant information but I would still encourage you to get in touch as even the smallest piece of information could be vital to our investigation.”
