A HOMELESS man in Winchester, was caught with cannabis and a knife, a court heard.
Gareth Gough, 42, admitted possessing the drug on December 31, magistrates in Basingstoke were told.
He pleaded guilty and must comply with a community order with up to 10 days rehabilitation requirement.
The court heard he used the knife to open cans of dog food and had not used it to threaten anyone or in dangerous circumstances.
There was no victim surcharge or order for costs because Gough is homeless and receives no state benefits.
