A HAMPSHIRE man who attacked a pregnant woman has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Karl Berry had denied assaulting Anastacia Pannell in Winchester on September 6 and October 13 but he was convicted after a trial.
Berry, 24, of no fixed abode, was given five months in jail, suspended for 18 months.
Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court heard that there had been multiple attacks by Berry on pregnant Ms Pannell.
Berry must allow take part for 32 days in a Building Better Relationships programme.
Magistrates also ordered he pay £200 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
The court passed a restraining order to run until January 19, 2019, barring him from contacting Ms Pannell or going to Queens Mead in Stanmore.
