A WINCHESTER man arrested after a sex attack in Southampton has been bailed until December 20.
Extra high-visibility patrols have been carried out near Watts Park and Cumberland Place after a 23-year-old woman was assaulted between 1am and 2am on Sunday.
Police say a 22-year-old man from Winchester arrested in connection with the attack has now been released to return next month. He has not been named.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: "Southampton Neighbourhood Team continue to remind those walking late at night in the city to avoid walking through the parks in the dark, stay with friends and stick to busy, well-lit areas."
As reported by the Chronicle, police taped off the park after the attack.
