A WINCHESTER man has been jailed for possessing a ten-inch kitchen knife.
William Telford, 54, of no fixed abode, admitted having the weapon on September 15 and breaching a suspended sentence.
Magistrates in Basingstoke jailed him for three months and added another month for the original offence of shoplifting.
The court was told the offence was serious, that Telford was drunk at the time and it was his second knife offence.
At an earlier hearing, Telford admitted two counts of threatening behaviour on August 18, including against Edward Murray, the court was told.
He was fined £40 with a £30 victim surcharge.
