MYSTERY surrounds the possible prosecution of a pet owner who dumped an iguana in a Winchester park.
Tango is now recovering in the care of the RSPCA after she was found in Stanmore last month with a suspected broken leg.
An RSPCA spokeswoman, asked about whether there would be a prosecution, said: "An owner has now been found and enquiries into the matter have been made.
"Tango will not be returning to her previous owner and will remain in the RSPCA's care. She is still recovering from her injury and is being monitored by the vet at the moment but we are hoping she will be feeling better soon."
The spokeswoman said she would not clarify for "data protection" reasons.
